Builder for 1600 Burnside In 1999, Jim Tucker founded Tucker Building Corporation after working on multiple commercial projects throughout the United States. These projects included hospitals, laboratories, office buildings, industrial distribution facilities, Atlanta Olympic venues and hotels among others. His goal is to use past experience to find new ways to service clientsí ever changing construction management needs. Since no building is exactly alike, Tucker Building Corporation uses experience and proven management tools to maximize clients' return on their building investment. Through planning and attention to each projectís unique scope requirement, Tucker Building Corporationís mission of becoming the "Cornerstone of Our Client's Building Needs" is accomplished for the project team. Past and present clients have called them "very professional and organized" while being ìenjoyable to work with" and "responsive and engaged in (my) project". Some Local accomplishments include Saltus River Grill, Live/Works at Habersham and the first building completed in Newcastle Square MISSION STATEMENT VALUES

LEED (The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Building Rating System) is a third-party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED gives building owners and operators the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their buildings' performance. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality. The US Green Building Council (USGBC) is the leading authority on green building standards in the United States. Their preamble states their commitment to adhering to the following five main values: Sustainability: A building should make use of sustainable resources and technology. Equity: Design should show respect to the community and the cultures co-existing in it. Plans should be made with all socioeconomic levels in mind. Inclusiveness: USGBC encourages community involvement in building and community design. Progress: Designs should have quantifiable results of a buildingís impact on the environment, community and economy of the area. Connectedness: Green building design should respect the connection between man and nature and recognize his stewardship over it.
